Cedarville State Forest Hiking, Biking and Equestrian Trails--There are 19.5 miles of marked trails. They wind past the loblolly pine plantations planted by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's, by a charcoal kiln, and through farm areas where springs and streams were used to make "moonshine."
Piscataway Park - stretches for 6 miles from Piscataway Creek to Marshall Hall on the Potomac River.
Bladensburg Waterfront Park The park features a public boat ramp, fishing pier, picnic pavilion, playground, a B & O Railroad caboose, community boathouse (storage facility) and historical displays.

Chapel Point State Park - is located on the beautiful Port Tobacco River, a tributary of the Potomac River.
Purse State Park - is located on the Potomac River on Wades Bay. Purse is a wooded undeveloped area that is used for hunting, bird watching, fishing and fossil hunting. Parking is located off of Maryland Route 224 across from a .25 mile trail leading to the waterfront.
Smallwood State Park Smallwood was the home of General William Smallwood, a Revolutionary War officer who was the 4th Governor of Maryland.
